Learning Crises – India’s Current Dominant Problem as Per World Bank Report
World bank has issued a warning against India and some such developing countries about learning crises in global education. The latest report from the bank notes that millions of small students in the country are being failed to be properly educated. They are denied that type of education which would fetch them good jobs and help succeed in life.As per the world development Report 2018: India ranks second after Malawi in a list of 12 countries wherein a grade two student could not read a single word of a short text.
India holds the first place in the list of seven countries in which a grade two student could not perform two-digit subtraction.The report recommends explicit policy steps to help developing countries resolve this dire learning crisis in the areas of stronger learning assessments.
