How to deal with exams

EXAMINATION is synonymized with tension and sleeplessness. None of the students are comfortable with this word “EXAM” and would be more than happy to do away with this. But Why?
If you ask me, I would say exams are very much essential as it helps us to know our strengths and weakness at every phase of life. But I would say that examination has to be taken sportively rather than a life or death matter, this will make it much easier affair.

By following the below tips, one can crack exam without getting worked up.

Preparing Mentally – The first step is to be mentally prepared. Rather than focus on passing/Failing or the score? The primary focus should be the effort that will go into the preparation.

Make your Timetable – Scheduling your study time and sticking to that is essential for successful preparation. The timetable has to be prepared in such a way that there are enough breaks. It is always better to start with the toughest subject and then move on to easier ones.It is al

Dividing the syllabus into various parts – As mentioned earlier, crack the problematic parts first and then move on to the easier ones.

Give weight to important Chapters – Important chapters would often be mentioned to you by your teachers. Other than that if you refer previous few years question paper, you may note down the questions that get repeated. First, you have to prepare for those questions.

Completely Avoid Distractions – It is not wrong to relax in the midst of studying. But that relaxation should not be in the form of watching TV, listening to music, going to parties. These activities, even though relaxing will change your mood and may linger in your mind for long after. So coming back to the studying spirit becomes a challenge after these activities.

Other General Instruction :

1. Stay Calm
2. Intake lots of Fluids
3. Avoid Restaurant food
4. Avoid too much traveling, stay indoors as much as possible.
5. Take regular breaks during the study.
6. If you are a morning person – Wake up early and study when your mind is fresh. If you are a night person – Wait till all sounds come down and study till dawn.
